“And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth
for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” — Matthew 24:14.
Hello everyone, I am a sinner. Nice to meet you! “Wow, that’s a strange way to introduce yourself,” someone might think.
But it is true. I was born on earth, and because of that, I inherited sin from Adam and Eve. That alone makes me a sinner. After I was born, I lived according to the ways of the world for a very long time. I did not know the Bible; I had never studied it. I had no idea what was truly going on. I had no clue that Satan misleads the world, that there are so many things we must be on guard against, and that we all carry a criminal record of sins with the consequences attached to them... I truly had no clue. — Romans 5:12, Genesis 3:2-6.
Now in the present day, I rejoice in knowing that I am a sinner, and that other people are as well. It’s not that I am joyful about being a sinner and others are, but because God’s Word teaches about it, I became aware of it and started to understand that I cannot live life in ‘easy mode’ — ‘don’t have to do anything for it, it’s all going to be alright!’ That’s when my lifestyle began to change for the better.
Let us observe the wonderful process as a child learns to walk. It attempts to stand up but struggles and stumbles. It falls; however, it tries to stand again. It continues practising walking... The more it practises, the better it gets at walking.
So it is with all children learning to walk, and so it is with all persons seeking to learn to walk in Jesus Christ’s teachings. It’s a beautiful process; both the young child learning to walk and the people working to live in a way that pleases the Heavenly Father.
Will we stumble? Yes, many of us will. Do we keep lying on the floor when we stumble? No, just as a young child learning to walk, we rise and continue learning to walk in Christ’s way. Satan misleads and seduces people to walk contrary to Christ, and we stumble again and again, but we rise back up and keep learning to walk in Christ’s way.
The more we practise, gain knowledge of God’s Word, and put it into practice, the more we learn to walk. We increasingly experience the fruits of our worship of the Heavenly Father (happiness, love, kindness, faith, patience, goodness, self-control, various blessings, eternal life, and other benefits) in our daily lives. As the apostle Paul said, we have to pummel ourselves to stay loyal to the Heavenly Father. — 1 Corinthians 9:27.
So, when we stumble... It’s not because we are a worthless, hopeless case; instead, just as a child learning to walk, we are also learning to walk in faith. We learn more each day and practise more to walk in Christ’s way. Although we may stumble, our willingness to pursue the ideal lifestyle demonstrates to both our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ that we genuinely endeavour to do so.
We demonstrate that we are not careless, as in “Oh, I don’t mind, I can live whatever way I want to”. Instead, we show that we take Jesus’ teachings seriously. Also, because we inherited Adam and Eve’s sin, Satan misled the world, and with many false teachings on earth, all of which can cloud our view, as well as other reasons like personal difficulties, things can become harder for us to do good.
Satan’s false claim that “we don’t need God at all!” is a lie. We do need our Heavenly Father. Therefore, receiving our daily portion of healthy spiritual food (our daily bread) from God’s Word and seeking help and guidance through prayer will help us overcome the obstacles on our path to a perfect life.
I often turn to prayer for help because I cannot do it alone. With the assistance of our Heavenly Father, things are becoming much easier, better, more beautiful, and more joyful. — Ephesians 6:17-18.
So... God’s Word, the Bible, guides us on our way. It provides us with daily spiritual nourishment and enables us to learn so many valuable truths. Moreover, it helps us understand historical events and anticipate what lies ahead. It teaches us how to educate ourselves and — in a loving, kind manner — how to teach others. It helps us be good children to our parents, good parents to our children, and a good husband or wife to their spouse. It encourages us to be faithful sheep of our Shepherd, Jesus Christ. When we are willing to build a close friendship with our Heavenly Father and ask Him for help in prayer, things in our lives improve remarkably.
*Note: For people going through a difficult time in life, reading Psalm 91 and Ephesians 6 aloud may offer additional support.
Our Father, who is in Heaven, loves humankind so very much. My words cannot even describe how much our Heavenly Father loves us. He loves us so deeply that He sent His beloved son to earth to die as a ransom for the forgiveness of our sins, so that we might no longer be condemned but be freed from our sins and their consequences, thus regaining everlasting life.
Who among the people on earth who genuinely love their children would send them, for any reason, to die? No one! We love our children and would strive to protect them, not send them out to die! Our Heavenly Father loves His son, Jesus, immensely. But because of His incomprehensible love for humanity, He sent His beloved son to earth to die for us. Wow! Aren’t we fortunate to have such a loving and caring Father?
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life” — John 3:16.
Thank you, Heavenly Father. Thank you for caring so much about us, humankind, and for sending Your perfect, loving, wise, holy son to earth to teach us how to live and to free us from our criminal records (and their consequences) as part of Your grand plan to free humankind from misery!
And thank you, Heavenly Father, for creating your highest government, highest court, and highest military organisation in Heaven—all three under one name: God’s Kingdom. God’s Kingdom, which will soon resolve all problems on earth and bring about paradise, enabling humanity to live an excellent, loving, happy, and beautiful life in paradise on earth when it is ready. — Matthew 5:5, Psalm 37:11, 29, 34, 115:16.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, we will stumble. However, when we do, I would like to encourage you to rise again and continue to follow Christ’s teachings. Your Heavenly Father loves you, and so does Jesus! Each day, or even more often, we can pray to our Heavenly Father for help. We cannot do it alone. The One who is the almighty Creator can help us to stand firm and walk steadily in the way of Jesus.
So that when God’s Kingdom has come, our Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the rest of the Kingdom in the Heavenly places will say, “Aha, look, there they are! Those are the ones who follow Jesus’s teachings. Let’s prepare paradise on earth for them!” — Psalm 37:29.
